    Worship Confessional

Since this blog is brand new this is my first week participating in the FredMcKinnon.Com Sunday Setlist Blog Carnival.

Worship practice was pretty hectic today, with people away we hadn’t been able to nail King if Wonders, so it was touch and go whether we’d actually use it today. Thankfully it all went very well so we kept it in. But it meant we had to rush through the set.

Pastor SteveO did a great job kicking off the meeting today, there was a really good flow and we were able to jump right in to worship very naturally off the back of it.

    Our songs today were…

    1. Because of Your Love - Al Gordon (in B)

    2. Jesus Saves - Tim Hughes (in A)

Then for our sketch we had a guest appearance by Brad from California, who looked a lot like Jeff, but I couldn’t be sure. We had a good sing-a-long to You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away by The Beatles.

    Our next set was…

    3. King of Wonders - Matt Redman, Tin Hughes & Joel Houston (in A)

    4. You Alone - Matt Redman (in A)

King of Wonders was a new song and I think it went very well for a first time, I really like it anyway! It was great looking out and seeing lots of people connecting with God.

There was no Facebook slot today, Steve has been showing embarrassing photos people post on their facebook, but he hasn’t been so excited about it since I switched the photos for ones of him a couple of weeks ago, hehe!!

Christine Gill brought the message this week, it was titled How To Be Better Than Everyone. It was a great message on judging others, but the highlight for me was the 2 Ronnies sketch. If that makes me shallow, then so be it!

    We wrapped up with…

    5. Sing, Sing, Sing - Chris Tomlin (in B, I got good use of my capo today!)

Overall, I thought it was a good meeting today, numbers were a little lower than in recent weeks, but until we get more space it’s going to be hard for numbers to increase. There was a good feel about things, only made better by the 2-0 win for Man Utd after church, come on you reds!
